Rated to withstand temperatures up to 1560°F to 2912°F (850°C to 1600°C). The 17" Hinge-Style Crucible Tongs are sturdy carbon black tongs that are ideal for handling crucibles when melting down precious metals. Tongs will firmly grip onto the lip of the crucible. Tongs will firmly grip onto the lip of the crucible. They will not go around the circumference of the crucible.
